"A couple of weeks ago the Spanish singersongwriter Enrique Iglesias went to Cuba for the first time to film a musicvideo. The glorious scenes from his new music video were all shot on spectacular locations in the old town of La Havana. "Súbeme la Radio" is the title of Enrique's new single and will see the light on Friday, February 24. "After doing several videos with Alejandro Pérez, having so many collaborations with my friend Descemer Bueno, and the success of "Bailando" with Gente de Zona, everything pointed towards this moment," Enrique commented. It should be noted that some of the choreography of "Bailando", the video with the most views in the history of Latin music (2.5 billion) was also filmed in Cuba. Director Alejandro Pérez says that working with Enrique is always an adventure and, although there is an original plan, he is always open to create and improvise new things on the go. Enrique Iglesias is about to release his new single, this time a collaboration with his friend Descemer Bueno and the Puerto Rican duo Zion & Lennox. The new single called "Súbeme La Radio" was produced by Carlos Paucar and written by Descemer Bueno, Enrique, and Zion & Lennox. "I've known Enrique for 12 years and since then we've written many songs together, some of them great Latin hits like: "Bailando", "Loco", "El Perdedor", "Cuando Me Enamoro", "Lloro Por Ti", "No Me Digas Que No", "Ayer", among others. Working with Enrique is an intense experience as we always try to improve ourselves, go one step further, push ourselves and prove that there are no limits when it comes to writing a new hit," commented Descemer. "Being invited to be part in this song with Enrique is a great honor. We are proud to be a part of this new world-wide, mega-hit. Being in Cuba for the first time made filming even more special and magical. Enrique is a the best at merging his music with other artists and we have no doubt that this song is going to be a hit," added Zion and Lennox. The release of the single is already scheduled for February 24, 2017, along with the video that was filmed in incredible locations in Havana, Cuba. Again under the direction of Alejandro Pérez, the video, which literally paralyzed the streets of La Habana, quickly became a viral sensation throughout the media thanks to the thousands of people who gathered to see their idol closely and be part of this historic moment in his career. Regarding his expectations about the video, Enrique commented: "I'm sure that if Alejandro managed to capture the magic we lived during those two days of shooting the video will infect everyone with that contagious joy that the audience transmitted to us. We had a great time and had a lot of fun doing it". "Súbeme la Radio" follows the hit track "Duele el Corazón", the single which extended Enrique's Billboard "Hot Latin Song" record to 27 #1’s, more than any other artist in chart history. "Duele el Corazón" also broke another of Enrique’s records by earning his 14th #1 on the Billboard "Dance" Chart. The single has more than 1 billion streams and more than 2 million downloads worldwide and gave Enrique 3 Latin American Music Awards and one Latin GRAMMY® Nomination. On the eve of the new edition of Premios Lo Nuestro, the world's most famous Latin artist returns to be among the nominees, this time with five nominations including artist of the year, single of the year, male artist of the year general and pop/rock, and song of the year pop/rock.
